Touiter Notifications?

I just downloaded Touiter for my Samsung Moment but I cant get the damn thing to notify me when I receive a tweet.
Has anyone else had this probelm?
 
I've had issues with Touiteur: no notifications, not updating timeline, not receiving mentions, etc..I'm using Seesmic now
