Trying to delete contacts in DroidX

New Android Phone. I have used BB for years and almost at the point where I want to go back due to email, contact & calendar differences.

Is there a easy way to remove Phone Contacts without to a reset? Is there a way to set default contact list to phone only and not have all the linked duplicates?
Welcome to the Android Forums!

To delete a phone contact on the DX, open the contact, click the menu button and then select delete.

And to get beyond the duplicate linked contacts, at the top of the contact list is a bar listing "All Contacts" or something similar. Click on that and then change it to "Phone Contacts". The other contacts are still there but you've changed your view so you only see local ones.
