Root Unable to get the root?!?

I have a Bell I7500L and successfully installed JC6...

I wiped the I7500L clean, installed the native Bell ROM I7500BMIK6, Kernal 2.6.29, Build Donut.XEJC6 following DaSchmarotzer's guide on updating to JC6... I'm now on 1.6... The Galaxy is running smooth...

I then downloaded GalaxyUpdaterFull 1.09 and am attempting to Install latest recovery 6.6.2 and I receive the message "Unable to get the root"...

I thought installing JC6 would root my phone for me? How do I root it?

BTW... I booted into recovery and 6.6.2 is already installed? I select Root this device and get Operation complete! but device is not rooted?!?

I performed a fastboot reinstall of Recovery 6.6.2, booted into Recovery mode and ran "Root this device" again and it worked!
