Help Unfortuntaely, Settings has Stopped - when connecting to secured wifi

So I have a brand new HP Slate 7 which connects fine to my wifi at home. However, when I try to connect at work,it crashes as soon as I tap the Connect button after entering my password info.

It's running Android 4.1.1.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? I can connect fine with my S3 running 4.1.2.

moved the thread here for better eyes.

not sure as i do not have your device, but have you tried a factory reset? not sure what else it could be other then some kind of software failure.
