Root UOT Kitchen question

Can anyone explain how to use the UOT kitchen thing for this phone? I would like to create a black and white theme for this thing to stimulate ctOS kind of thing, haha

From my experience the only modifications you can use are below.

Battery Icon - static ones preferred, not the fancy animated ones
Notification Icon - static ones preferred, not the fancy animated ones
Boot Animation

There might be a way to edit lock screen and others but you may required to do additional work.


Once you edited those, go to file upload -> Upload your own files

1. Upload framework-res.apk from system/framework
2. Upload lge-res.apk from system/framework as com.htc.resources.apk
3. Upload systemui.apk from system/app


Wait until download appears, once you downloaded file. Either flash it or include it on your own ROM.


Always start with minor change first then add on top of it. If you make many changes at once, it's hard to go back or find out what is causing the trouble.


Look at the rom I tried to develop long time ago (it never finished though)... the icons are from UOT kitchen.
