Update 4.0.3

Hi all

I've had the GNex for about 2 months now experiencing the usual problems like poor signal and connection issues etc...I think the 4.0.3 update is going to address some of the issues. The phone I have is not locked to any specific network, does any one know when the update will be available in the UK?

It's starting to bother me now, always loosing connection and being sat next to some one on the same network and having no signal...

For me the GNex has promised so much but is failing to deliver...I miss my HTC

There is a 4.0.4 for the CDMA LTE version in the US... here is the change log via XDA (unofficial, its a list of peoples experiences coming from 4.0.2)..

Being in the UK you have a GSM version of the phone. This rom is CDMA only but the reason i'm posting this is to show the direction its going.

4.0.5 is slated to be pushed sometime in March to everyone (GSM and CDMA) so stick with it. ICS is a new OS and things are getting fixed. Give it time, you will be happy. I'm running 4.0.4 on my phone and its clearly better. :D

I feel like the nexus is going to get the thunderbolt run around for verizon. They never like what is going on so they keep screwing off and changing stuff.

I bought in December, still have 4.0.2, bugs too numerous to list..........fonts, keyboard lags, reception, mail app, message app, this is the only product i've ever owned where the users attack people reporting bugs and pretend the bugs don't exist.

I hope no one is attacking you, but it does get old hearing people complain about all the same items. We just need to have one thread for them.

Some people, like myself, dont have 1 Problem that everyone is having. I have solid 4G at my work, where my OG Droid could not even hold 3G. So far, my Nexus has had better signal...go figure! And I almost did not buy this phone because of all the complaints.

Only two small things bug me, auto rotate is a little slow and keyboard is slow sometimes but seems to be with the auto correct.

I want to download 4.0.4 for my CDMA Verizon Nexus but I'm having trouble. I've downloaded a nexus tookit to install it but it's still not working and I am guessing I need a different nexus toolkit. Any advice/links would be appreciated!

I have 4.0.2 and have hardly any problems. I love this phone. OP, don't give up on the phone. You must have a defective phone. Yea, mine's not perfect, but it doesn't resemble what you would expect upon skimming through this nexus forum.
I would like to upgrade to 4.0.4
How do I do this? I thought this kind of upgrading happens automatically.

OP, also, as far as keyboards go, get Swiftkey X. Autocorrect is so last decade. Swift is amazing.

Doesn't happen automatically because its not the official update. Its the leaked version so u will have to install manually. To get up and running you have 2 options. Download the zip file from Droid Life that's where I got it from awhile back.. or if you have TBH app (Team Black Hat) you can download from there and flash. Stock 4.0.2 is required to flash if you get it from Droid life not sure about TBH though. No wipes just flash and you're good. MAKE SURE YOU DO A BACK UP FIRST. I learned the hard way had a bad dl and got stuck on the boot animation after the install failed halfway through. Its really a simple process I say why not try u can always go back. Hope this helps
