Root Update Samsung Galaxy S

Updated my Samsung SGH I897 to:

Baseband: I897UCKK4
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I897UCKF1-CL273832
Build #: Gingerbread.UCKK4

I bricked my phone while trying to root it. I just used One-Click Unbrick.

1. I still can't connect or "Turn on Wi-Fi". Can you guys point me in the right direction?

2. Is it possible to upgrade to ICS? Thanks!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!! Since I don't have an S2 I can't really give you advice but let me move you to somewhere you can get some.

The SGH-i897 is the Captivate. Let me move it there for you.

The wifi issue means you probably aren't using the right kernel. The UFCK1 kernel is for 2.3.3. You can find the UCKK4 kernel here.
