Hi all,

As it says in the title, I'm using CM9 on my T-Mobile Sensation 4G and I'm trying to go back to the original OEM Gingerbread. Here's the info from the bootloader screen:

*** UNLOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
RADIO-11.23.3504.07_M2
OenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0131
eMMC-boot

I've been going through a bunch of different threads trying to figure out how to get back to a stock Gingerbread ROM, but I can't figure it out.

Is it safe for me to run an RUU for Gingerbread?

I'm looking here: ROMS for Android Model:Pyramid and I see a bunch of TMOUS ROMs, but I can't tell which are which.

  1. RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.50.531.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223976_signed.exe
  2. RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_TMOUS_3.32.531.14_Radio_11.69A.3504.00U_11.23.3504.07_M2_release_256085_signed.exe
  3. RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed.exe
So, I guess my basic questions are these:

Which of those RUUs is for Gingerbread? And is it safe for me to run one of those with my current HBOOT/S-On/radio/etc? If not, how do I get to a point where I can do that?

If it's a big issue to like...downgrade the HBOOT and do S-Off, can I do an RUU for ICS without getting S-Off/downgrading the HBOOT? Which RUU would that be?

Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately no,you cannot downgrade hboot or the older ruu while s on. Your best bet is to become s off on ics if you want to go back to gb.

Once your s off,1 and 3 are gb,the bigger the build number, the newer the build(so 1 is the newer)

Awesome, thanks scotty85. Let's say I just want to use the ICS RUU.exe.

Do I just download the RUU, plug the phone into the computer, and run the RUU.exe?

This one, right? RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_TMOUS_3.32.531.14_Radio_11.69A.350 4.00U_11.23.3504.07_M2_release_256085_signed.exe

Thanks!

correct. run the utility as administrator if possible. if you have trouble we can ectract rom.zip and flash it in hboot. the .exe files can sometimes be finicky.

you will need to relock the bootloader before you can run full, signed RUUs. with the phone in fastboot, enter in a cmd window:
fastboot devices

fastboot oem lock

holler if you have further questions :)

Awesome, thanks! Will try this tonight or tomorrow and report back.

since you are on a custom rom,you will likely get a security warning when you relock the bootloader. you will be stuck there until you run the ruu.

if something happens, dont panic, youll just need to reunlock your bootloader to get back to a working phone :)
