[Verizon] OFFICIAL CM 11 (4.4.x) nightlies have started

Should be a new bootloader to flash over aswell.

When I updated my device to 4.4, it just told me there was a new bootloader and I downloaded it and installed it.

Yeah I updated my bootloader, it was in the steps here:

Learn something new . . . . thanks.

The PRIMEMD04 boot loader is from the Jelly Bean update

FWIW I'm still on PRIMECL03 and haven't had any problem with the kit Kat ROMs.

Hey, just used CM's auto updater to go from 10.2.0-toro, to the latest nightly 20131210, and I'm getting a

"set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed"

I get a status 7 abort.

I am going to try re-downloading the file, but these things have gone smoothly in the past. Has anyone got a quick idea as to why it wouldn't work? I did not do a factory reset before installing, but I am thinking I shouldn't have to.

EDIT: Looks like there is a new version of ClockWorkMod for this one so I'm trying that now.

If it's going from 4.3 to 4.4 you need to update your Custom Recovery.

Otherwise Nightlies are known to having issues and them being so fresh they might have some, hopefully you made a backup.

Thanks for your suggestions, turns out YES you need the latest ClockworkMod to flash CM11, and YES you need to flash the latest Gapps for android 4.4.1(there are also gapps for 4.4.2 but since CM11 so far is 4.4.1 I didn't try) to make this work correctly. I feel kinda stupid cause it seems all those people who say "Yea, I update my recovery and ALWAYS flash the latest gapps every time I flash an upgrade" are actually on to something :P

Anyhow, works now. Very nice visual cues in Kit Kat.

Good to hear you got everything sorted, and yes i should of also mentioned that your Gapps need to be updated as well, something the CyanogenMod installer doesn't tell you
