[Verizon] Problems with flashing the "Shiny" 4.4 ROM

Codec

Android Enthusiast
It keeps saying failed every time I try to install the ROM and I cleared cache and it said successful then it just keeps booting into recovery mode.

Please tell me you have a backup you can restore?
Also, you need to use ClockworkMod Recovery if you're trying to flash Shiny's ROM. TWRP is what's causing the problems.
No, I don't have a backup, how do you even use a backup? Like what tool? I am having to use Odin to restore the damn OS and start over, thanks for replying. Why is TWRP causing the problem? I used it before to flash a different ROM with no problems.

You didn't create a Nandroid backup in TWRP before flashing the ROM?
Sounds like you'll have to push a factory image and start over:

Some ROMs really are only flashable with certain recoveries. This is honestly the first one I've seen where they explicitely say to use CWM. You'll see a lot of posts in that thread about folks borking their phones when using TWRP.
So, are you able to get into TWRP?

Yes I am, and I will NEVER use TWRP again.

Okay, find another ROM, probably the last one you were on. Download it to your PC, mount the SD Card (yes, I know there's not one, just internal storage) through TWRP (I think it's under Mounts and Storage). Push it from your PC to the phone and flash that.

Ok I mounted the SYSTEM, but it is not under my computer, so I how do I flash it?

Codec, I'm trying to get it working on my G2 (since it has TWRP on it), but can't figure it out. I've asked for some backup by my fellow staff who are more experienced with this.
Crossing my fingers for you. :)

Ok thanks, u know when you press volume down and power you get the downloading target? I thought I could use Odin to fix that for me for me but I don't understand how to use it either.

The one time I used Odin was to root my Tab 10.1 so I'm really not familiar with it.
It says on that thread to Download the stock TAR for your device, ok what are they talking about? Cause there is a link that says Download Stock TAR (original) is that for the galaxy nexus or what phone is that for? They don't explain.

Tar is essentially the same as a zip.
It's the stock firmware for your device.

Can you still boot the device into fastboot mode by holding down both volume buttons and power while the device is powered off?
