Verizon SIM card question

I have never really understood SIM cards, so here is my stupid question. I currently have a Motorola Droid Mini with a nano-SIM from Verizon. When I get my 6p, I assume I can swap the nano-SIM from the Mini and put it into the 6p and then go through the setup procedure as normal?

If the SIM card fits, just plug it in and turn the phone on.

When it powers up, it will recognize that it needs to be reconfigured, and the carrier will download what is needed and you are good to go.

So would it be safe to say that any Nexus 6P be compatible with the VZW network?

I too have a RAZR MAXX, and am thinking about buying a 6P, but wanted to be sure all I would need to do is swap the sim card.

I am on VZW. I went from the Droid Turbo to the Nexus 6 then to the 6P using the same sim card. They all work fine on VZW. When I log onto my Verizon account it even shows Huawei's model number. You won't have any problem.

I have an Nexus 6P and iPhone 6Splus, both unlocked and works great with Verizon. They will try to tell you it will not work.........

I did not have a nano sim when I upgraded to the 6p. I had no problems getting one from Verizon. I had to go into the store and they had to call tech support to get it activated but overall it was a painless experience.

I ordered my 6P online from Best Buy. After I picked it up from their online order desk, I walked over to their cellular sales department and just asked for a Verizon nano sim. The guy handed it to me and I activated it myself from home that night.
