Verizon system update

Just got a notification of a system update from Verizon. No information other than it will take 17 minutes and a reboot.

Got that message here too. I'm not finding any info online anywhere. At this point, my battery life is so miserable I'm thinking this update can't do much worse. And truthfully, I'm on the fence about dumping this phone anyway, so why not? I'll report back (if i have a working phone!)

Updated, no issues... Now it's version 5.0.2 VS9803AA

I'll see how battery does throughout the day, but i don't think this patch is a major fix.

It says Security fix. I wonder if it breaks the root exploit.

* Someone on XDA said it's a stagefright 2.0 fix.

I think the update killed my wife's phone. Can't message or call, or emails not going out. Will have to see if a reset will fix.
