I've been hesitant to move to 4.3 & 4.4 due to people's complaints about bugs. Finally took the plunge last night with Slim Beans stable 4.3 build. Wow, to say it's impressive is an understatement! It's got more options than sorcery and snappier than it's ever been, it's like a brand new phone. My hats off to the dev, I'm kicking myself for not upgrading sooner.

I'm on Illusions 4.3.1 and man oh' man am I happy. I would love to try 4.4 but i'm very satisfied with this.

SlimRoms makes some excellent roms, and I have found that SlimBean is no exception. It was one of my favorite for awhile.

I am currently on SlimKat, their 4.4 alpha, it is pretty unstable, has graphical glitches and random restarts, so if you're not looking to beta test like I am, then don't download it yet.

I really want to go back to 4.3, but I really like kitkat too much :p

My N7 got the OTA for kitkat and to be honest, it doesn't feel all that different than 4.3
I have yet to find a stable 4.4 ROM for our gn so I'm going to wait and hope the bugs get ironed out. :)

So I've apparently lost root installing this ROM? Went from 4.2 to 4.3.

I doubt it, it's more likely that you haven't enabled it. In 4.3 you have to enable developer options (multiple clicks on about phone) and then enable root in developer options. I had to do this prior to installing any rooted apps in 4.3 like titanium.

Yeah I had to enable it like noahdr stated. I never had to do that with any other ROM I've installed before, so it threw me for a loop. Thanks for the advice though!
