Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] I need a Guinea pig

I need a Guinea pig to test a ported rom. They would need to have cwm installed on their f3 and need to know how to unbrick their device. Any takers?

This is my first attempt at doing anything like this so it may not work.

Thankfully, booted into Solar ROM fine. But you need to fix this ;c

Can you try to install it one more time but with a slight change?

in the main cwm screen there should be an option: toggle signature verification. Turn it on and try to install again?

During installation it will ask you to install untrusted package. select yes

I wouldn't try again, the same thing will happen. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. And any time taken to get your phone running again. It was worth a shot.

I think the dev of solar rom said that his phone was screwing up superuser as well, so i'll wait for an update to that. And no problem! :P

I screwed up slightly on the root, and decided to re-flash, as nothing important was on in the 1st place. I will not try this again as you said (until needed), but i will get cwm ready.

Fluffyelid, or anyone willing to test for me again? I have a compiled from source cm zip I would love to have tested.

Any Takers?
You will have to know how to unbrick your device if necessary. I have no clue if this will work or not.

This would be a simple compile from source. Because I forgot to include the vendor blobs, I will have to add them and then recompile again.

I want to test this rom before making any modifications. Assuming it will install, I will need feedback on what works and what doesn't work.

I'm still new at this so bare with me if it doesn't work.

Btw: here is a link to saferoot: link

and a video to get you rooted again: link

Just make sure you have it set to MTP when you connect your usb cable and have usb debugging turned on

Okay, the first gave me an error 7 also. Im a little confused. It compiled, it should of worked. Ill start over tomorrow and turn on debugging.

Thank you for trying. I'm sure eventually I'll get one working. :)

I have a lead on why it didn't install and will work on it today. I see a name issue in the build.prop file. I'll correct it and see if it works. Worst case ill have to correct the source and re-compile.
