Virginia Tech email hosted by gmail - how to set up on Droid

Hi!

I am a Virginia Tech alumni and I still use my vt.edu account. However, VT could no longer host alumni email so now my email, though still vt.edu, is hosted by gmail through an IMAP connection. I'm having a hard time setting up my email on my Droid. Anybody else dealt with this problem who could shoot me some pointers??

I'm an old hokie as well and until recently also used my VT.edu account. IIRC, you can set the google account (not the VT one) as an alternate to your main google account. Just turn on gmail in your phone; open the settings menu; select accounts. you will no see a list of whatever gmail accounts ar in your phone as well as a button to add a new account. click on add account and follow the wizard's instructions. once set up, google will push new e-mails directly to your phone as they appear.
