Good Morning, everyone! One of the single-biggest frustrations I've had with apps is the permissions. I found the perfect calendar app that seems to show a preview of entries made right on a calendar grid - seemingly exactly what I was looking for - but I can't test or keep it as the permissions aren't good. Can't remember which nasty it had whether Location or ID, but I don't use apps with all that, only safer ones that will request only something like photos and only if it needs to have that permission to do its job, i.e., a photo-related app of some sort. The calendar app is called "Weekly Calendar" and is found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.aloba.android.weekcal Is there any way to "block" "borderline" apps such as this one from monitoring, or whatever they do, reporting back? Is there a way to stop the apps from doing that?? I've been looking for nearly 2 weeks now for a calendar app such as this kind that: 1) isn't tied into the stock calendar and that has entries completely separate from it, and 2) shows a lot of the the events/entries entered right there on the screen without one having to edit/open any entry. The only other option would be to figure out how to contact the developer and to ask them to tailor their permissions to something more reasonable ... (??? If that even would work??) Thanks. Any thoughts on this really appreciated. Oh, if anyone happens to know of a _safe_ app without crazy permissions that has that type of visual layout that doesn't read the info from stock calendar, would really appreciate knowing about it ... (the stock and a separate app that I use have horrible weekly views!) Cheers mates.
