Accessories Want an EVO Otterbox Case? Read this...

Same with Case-Mate even though they said they would also be coming out with EVO cases recently. I find that people accessorize their iPhones more than any other phone. It's the nature of the beast.

Tell me about it...some of the phones they make cases for did poorer on opening day sales , yet they still have otterbox love.

Do you know how many they would have sold on opening day weekend? They could have grabbed a good amount of the innocase and body glove share of the market...now they need to hope those folk will consider buying a case that is showing signs of being here...oh, let's say friggn September? If we're lucky!

As much as I luv Otterbox, I need a suitable solution now....so I will search elsewhere.

That's pure BS...don't get me started. Tell me we're not about to enter the war of the "Biased Case Maker". I know Apple moves mountains...but no one at otterbox kept their finger on the tech world pulse leading upto the EVO launch?

If this case was out I would buy 2 today. One for me and one for the wife. I sent an email also, but knowing Obox it will be the end of the summer before we see anything.

We do not have any information if a case will be made at this time for that device, but it is something that has been requested. I sent an email last night and received this email from them today...[FONT=&quot]

We will be making cases for the new HTC EVO 4G in the Impact, Commuter and Defender Series
 
Check their website, it states that the EVO 4G will be coming soon and you can enter your email address for updates on the realease depending on which of the 3 models you would like to have,
 
From what i gather from other phones with these lines.... just look at iphone 3g/3gs lines the following was pulled from the tech specs of the iphone 3g/3gs so features will prolly vary a little bit for the EVO just a general idea what to expect

Impact -
layer 1: Self-adhering clear protective film (cleaning cloth and installation card included)
layer 2: Durable textured skin for grip

Commuter -
layer 1: Self-adhering clear protective film (cleaning cloth and installation card included)
layer 2: Durable silicone mid-layer
layer 3: One piece custom molded polycarbonate shell

Defender -
layer 1: Clear protective membrane on screen and keypad
layer 2: Hi-impact polycarbonate shell
layer 3: Durable silicone skin



I think commuter is going to be the way to go
 
I want an impact skin, they make AMAZING silicon skins for the phones. The commuter would be nice as well, they're generally not AS thick as the defender, but it's still pocket-able without looking like you have a chunk of lead sitting in your pocket.

Sold out, currently harder than hell to find and helped Sprint sign up over 110,000 new customer. Looks like a good indicator on how well it did. :D

Can't wait for our Commuter case to come out!
