Help Water damage problem

So I got an Evo Design into salt water inside my pocket for around 5 minutes without realizing it about 3 days ago.

Didn't turn it on until today, tried rice the entire time, removing battery for days, and the lowest humidity setting possible, but it wouldn't turn on or give any signal.

I disassembled the phone, and everything seems dry and okay, except for a white-ish dust near the back camera on the motherboard, if it helps.

So I ordered a new battery for next week, but I wish to try something in the mean time.

Same thing happened to my brother's old EVO 3D, but he stayed in salt water for way more than 5 minutes, and the freaking thing turned on. So I thing these things can take a pounding (just being hopeful).

Any advise guys?

Lost two of these phones to water. One of the times it was just a little bit of water, the second time I was swimming for 5 mins without realizing it was in my pocket. Haven't got them to come back. One is completely dead & won't even respond to a charger being plugged in, the other gets an orange light but won't turn on.
