I have a couple of cheap 3rd party usb chargers that I've used in the house and car for items other than my Evo. When I got my phone they worked fine. After the upgrade to 2.2, these chargers DO charge the phone, but seem to be convincing the Evo that it's in disc drive mode, so I can't access my memory card. I'd like to use the phone as a music player, so it does have on the charger, as I play music all day at work and when I'm driving to and from work.
Weirdly, the charger I got with the phone works properly, and it works properly when connected to the pc.
Any notions as to why and what to do to resolve the problem?
I'll buy new chargers if necessary, but I have these & it would be a shame not to be able to use them.
