What are the major risks of rooting your droid eris?

Bricking it, but it's actually harder than you think to actually brick the phone. To root it's mainly installing a zip file and then you flash a new recovery so that you can make complete backups and flash new roms. Once that is done if you screw something up you just go back to your latest good backup.
