Root What is the best way to root as of 3/2011?

I'm confused as to which method for rooting my wife's Fascinate is best. Got it a couple of weeks ago, and it has Android 2.1 Update-1.

I saw the 1-Click root method from last summer, and then there's OMJ's update in January which seems a bit more complicated... would rather do the 1-click method, but I'm afraid the files might be outdated due to OTAs, new versions of the root files, etc... Just need a little guidance... pretty good at following directions so long as the directions are up-to-date...:D

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I really dislike that thread nitsu.... seems so disorganized :)

The all-in-one package droidXcon made makes it easy for any newbie really.

agreed that the all in on package is easiest...but im very anti-"take the easy way out" i think its best everyone takes the time to learn what they are doing and changing on their phone :)

Definitely use KRock's method if you want the fast, easy method.
Can't really mess it up either..;) (Well someone will prove me wrong..)
