I swear by SmartKeyboard PRO

having the little "Alt-Keys" show as subtype on each key, drove me effing nuts!!!

Using smart keyboard i was able to customize exactly how i love it.

I like the HTC_IME High Res Keyboard Skinner stuff. I allows me to personally skin and customize my keyboard the way I want it....instead of having to choose what other people throw at you....I make my own. The keys on the images below are not how they actually appear...this is just the preview version that was spit out by the Skin Creating site.
