Help What's the Best Way for me to get Flash

I have the Nexus 7 2013, and it's not rooted. How can I root it at 4.4 kitkat and how can I get flash? I don't want a flash browser, I want to be able to open .swf files. I was thinking maybe I could downgrade to anything below 4.0 and then rooting it, and downloading a custom rom. But if I downgrade, will all the apps in the playstore still work, or is it like apple and I have to have the latest software for most apps to work? Is it possible to root if I downgrade? Also, does anybody know if there's a way to have multiple apps open on the same screen as the galaxy tab; like a custom rom that I can or something? Thanks in advance

I simply installed via es file explorer the apk file for the last of the android flash apk's from the adobe archive. I can view flash videos in the boat browser and some other browsers as well...

I'm probably a little late on this but if you install Dolphin Browser and (not sure if you need both but think so) and Jet Pack you can set as "desktop" and do anything on the Nexus that you can on a laptop.

Will this let me open .swf files that are saved on my tablet? I already knew of this, and it only works while I'm doing something on the web that involves flash

many mobile systems and browsers dont allow access to local or native files. It is some sort of security risk.

back in my webos days we had a hack for this, but I haven't been interested in it for my android stuff.

why not get a .swf to other common video converter and convert the files on a desktop, and then view them???
