What's the weather like where you are?

It was pretty nice today. The wind wasn't offensive and the temperature topped out in the mid eighties. Currently it is seventy seven degrees and my area is under a severe thunderstorm watch. The radar shows a front moving my direction that will likely cross my path around one am.

Early yesterday morning, it rained 3.47" and another .47" fell early this morning. It seems it's all or nothing. It has been far too dry here to the point grass and plants that weren't receiving irrigation of some sort were struggling. Now it is almost too wet with lakes and pods sitting at max levels and rivers and their tributaries are swelled.

It was so humid today it was like it was misting. The temp maxed out at 73° and it's currently 70° with a light rain. .16" has fallen in the last hour.

It rained another quarter of an inch this morning. So far, I have logged 8.38" for the month. That's a lot of rain for an area that averages 32 inches. Four and a half inches this week has caused a lot of problems. That's what we get for hoping for rain. It will soon be gone and we'll be hoping for rain again.

I'll lend you some rain Pit. It seems I'm getting more than my fair share lately.
It rained another .34" today to add to the weekly total. As of this evening, 4.79" has fallen this week. It's keeping the temperatures low. Seventy six was today's high with nearly zero wind. Humidity is currently at 90%.

A weather front is dumping rain on the area right now. Over two additional inches has fallen in the last half hour and it's prompting flash flood warnings all over the area. That 4.79 this week is now 7.00 and falling at a 3.94 in/h rate. 11:20pm

It's now an hour later and it's still raining. I'm just shy of four inches since it started yesterday morning. 12:23am The low areas are flooding but I'm safe. I'm off to bed. .75" of rain since midnight.

It continued to rain with 1.97 falling today. Yesterday and today combined, 5.06" fell. That's a lot of rain on a relatively flat terrain. For the week, 9.51" has fallen bringing the monthly total to 13.44". At least the remainder of today and this weekend has a dry forecast... so far.

It's been pretty hot the last couple of days and it's been extremely humid following all the rain that fell last week. Today the temperature topped out at 94° with a feel like temp of 108°. It was windy which helped make it feel less miserable out. Tomorrow is supposed to be about the same as today.

Our 10 day forecast actually looks about normal for this time of the year.
Hot and humid.

Oh, I'd love to experience the "dry heat" that's rumored to exist.

There is no such thing in Kansas anymore. It once was a low humidity area. Even when it's lacking rain it's humid nowadays. The humidity as I type is 60% with a feel like temp of 99°. I just can't wait to get back out there and finish my lawns.... NOT!

Another typical forecast of late... High in the low 90s with South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. The humidity is supposed to dip into the upper 50% range late this afternoon. Currently it is setting at 72% and keeping the heat advisory effective until later this evening.

I'm feeling better now that I know that I'm not the only guy that's melting. My station has 91.4° with a feel like temp of 103.6°. It's only 60% humidity.... perfect weather for mowing overgrown yards that almost have steam rising out of them. I think I'll have a beer and go ride my bike while it's nice.
I suspect that the hot is just getting started. July and August might be too hot to handle.

It's the 4th here as well :) The weather has been strange today. It was 81° this morning and then a front passed Easterly a county North of me that dropped the temp to 72°. The wind switched from the South to the North East. I watched the weather and decided to go riding. It was nice but windy. Then it quit blowing and got hot. Feel like temps in the triple digits. It just rained .02" out of nowhere. I think it's just that humid. Now it's dropped from 94° to 82°. Who knows if the weather will ruin everyone's celebrations tonight.

It is beautiful but humid this morning. The overnight low was 65° and it's now 75° at 9 am. There is zero wind blowing... zero! Eighty Six degrees is the predicted high with a full sky of blue.

Greetings from the Kansas bayou. :) It is supposed to be a bit cooler today but humid.
The humidity is to drop as the day progresses. It is supposed to fall into the high fifties by two pm. Single digit wind today will not help that thick oppressive wet air feeling.
