What's the weather like where you are?

It hit 92 and then cooled down to 86°. The humidity is hanging around that 60% mark making it miserable outside. I finished mowing and I'm thinking about taking the bike for a ride. It's partly cloudy with zero wind. I see that it is warming up again. All I know for certain is that mowing today was simply miserable. It was so humid that the grass was still wet from the dew. The moisture rising out of the grass combined with the heat made for some dangerous conditions for those not somewhat acclimated to the steamy heat. It is now 90.9° That's how fast it's warming up.... wow.

I left a meeting early because I wasn't feeling well. On the way home I saw a thunderstorm building, with the sun setting behind it. For once, I was glad I wasn't feeling well because if I had stayed for the meeting, I would have missed this hauntingly beautiful sight. I'll have to try and remove the utility lines from the shot, but it was the only clear shot I had.

The temperature is to ramp up today and approach that 100° mark. Naturally, with the high humidity of late, the feel like temp will be in the triple digits. There is to be some good old Kansas wind today. The lower double digit wind velocity forecast should help make the heat tolerable.

My house a/c has been working overtime and we have yet hit real 3 digits.

Someone turned my rain off. It's still very humid but a little rain now and then instead of five inches at a time is a good thing. Currently it is 81° with a mild South wind and 65% humidity. The forecasted high of 98° will feel like 108° with a very slight chance of rain.

And as I'm calling it a day and going to bed, it has started to rain. I call them popcorn clouds. They are popping up one after another and following a NW to SE path that has them moving across my area. They are small rain cells and not an organized front. Any deviation in their trek will cause it to stop raining here. So far .13" has fallen.

A total of .39" fell over night. Rain is once again needed in my area. With all that rain we received in one week of June mostly ran off and filled lakes and ponds and created flash floods here and there. It helped water the plant growth but if spread out over a few weeks would have had a far greater effect. Yards are beginning to look distressed again. A third of an inch isn't a fix but it will help.
It is supposed to be about ten degrees cooler today. The humidity will again be stupid high with a single digit Easterly wind.

The last couple of days have been cooler with temps in the high eighties. There hasn't been much wind for a change and the humidity has remained high. Today is supposed to be another similar day. Currently it is 77°, no wind, and 74% humidity.
