When will we set ART on stock ROM?

Really surprised 4.4.3 didn't bring ART (even if just in developer menu) as we'd been lead to believe.

Will we ever see ART on the stock ROM?
 
I think possibly at 5.0. You can always switch it over from Developer Options.
I've had it really bork my Gnex, but it's totally fine on stock on my Moto G. My G2, while rooted, is still on Dalvik.
 
On my older Nexus 7 (2012, unrooted) it's never been in Developer Options, as nx1977 indicated, and still isn't. So until it's released as stock or unless I root this thing, there's no way to enable ART.
 
So ART is the runtime in Android "L" so goodbye laggy dalvik.
Surely if our tab gets the update (will it?), it will run in ART :thumbup:

Yeah, the question really is if. Wasn't this particular model announced at IO 2 years ago?
 
Hopefully they've kept with the requirements of kitkat so it will run well on older and low spec models.

Hopefully they'll also move to manufacturer and network customisation via a play update so all handsets can get updates straight away to do away with fragmentation that was promised to end with kitkat.
