Help Where are Voicemail files saved on the sd card??

scudder

Android Expert
I'm running a rooted EVO (with MikG 3.1 ROM but don't think the ROM is relevant to my question here) with the latest "stock" (I think) SmithMicro Voicemail v1.5.2.0.26.

I was screwing around with flashing and wiping and other stuff and just realized that there were a few "saved" voicemails that I would like to retrieve. In the voicemail app there is an option to options to view inbox, outbox, deleted and "sd card"

I was wondering where on the SD card the saved "sd card" voicemails are located??

THANKS!!

I would also double check the MD5 checksum of the ROM posted by the developer and verify that it matches the checksum after you download it to your sd card before you flash it.....just sayin..I haven't had a prob. but better safe then sorry.

You will need to back up the ones you wish to keep at another location. I have noticed that when I have send my Voicemails to SDCARD they are there until I send more. Then the ones I had earlier are gone. so something to think about.

Thanks...I will check. At the moment I'm in the middle of a wipe and reflash of my ROM (actually sent you a PM just a moment ago) so will check when I'm back up and running...

After PMing with you and reading your posts on mik--WOW!!--you've gone thru alot....so this question is unbelievably minor in comparison but, did you find your voicemail folder?:)

Hey...thanks for checking back. I DID find the folder...it appears you were correct. I had thought that I saved more than I found in there but the files I found were definitely from the Voicemail app.

Thanks again!!

Left my previous reply just before up and responding to this one...

So, you're saying that for some reason when you go back to your voicemail at some time or other and save more to the sd card the older ones disappear? If so, my THOUGHT that I had previously saved more to the sd card was probably accurate and they are just *GONE*??

Wow, that sucks...what's the point and why does that happen?? I mean, if that is the (odd) case, I am now aware but what is the purpose of that?? It's gotta be a bug, huh?? :(
