Help Where to buy Magic to use on ATT?

You can't use t-mobile 3G phones on ATT 3G. They will only run on edge. If you want an Android phone on ATT, get a Dream for $100-200 (ebay, craigslist). I wouldn't waste your money on a Magic for ~$400. Also there will be an Android phone on ATT before the end of the year - then you can get your 3G Android phone.

Hi SpoonerPS3, I am also looking at getting an unlocked Rogers Android phone to use on AT&T and was hoping that you (or anyone else here) can let me know if there is anything special I need to do when I get mine? Do I need to do anything special for updates?

I'd read elsewhere on the forum that updates tend to be carrier specific so I was wondering if I would have to go to Rogers website for the updates or if there is a way to get them over the air even though I'd be running on AT&T? Do I need to do anything special to use Android Market given the fact that I would be using the Android phone from a different country and carrier than it was made for? Also do you have any advice on whether the G1 or the Magic is a better choice? Thanks in advance for any information.
