Help why did i have to partition my sd card?

Just wondering what the point of partitioning my 2gb sd card into two 1gb partitions was... right now all that is on one partition is a dalvik-cache folder and two apps, taking up a whopping 14MB. the other partition has every other program i'd transferred via Link2SD on it. is there some way i can salvage all this unused space on the partition that isn't being used as much?

You don't have to make it 1gb, you can change the partition sizes in Clockworkmod. It will require reformatting your card, but it will only take a few minutes.

Or even better, the new koumakernel in the all things root section will turn a partition directly into internal memory, no need for link2sd.
