Why does my G+ feed go all weird on Sundays?!

I have only old Facebook contacts, vegans, family and Android lovers on my G+.
It happens only on Sunday. If it helps, all the posts have the hashtag #SexualSunday on them. On Saturdays it is all cat-happy with the hashtag #Caturday.
I have the book Google+ for Dummies and it doesnt mention any oddball holidays on weekends?

Do the posts happen to say "What's hot and recommended" at the very top(above the poster's information)?
If so...that's just spontaneous crap that Google thinks you should see because it's popular. It looks like #SexualSunday is one of them.
It can be awkward. I'm very religious, and just moved to Vegas this year for work. I was sitting bored in church my first week and decided to see what was going on on G+.

i do not seem to be able to do that. even if i set the app to display a specific feed (vegans, or friends, etc) when i back out and launch it again, it defaults to 'what's hot' or what is known now as of the latest update as 'all circles'
the post in question is but one of many, and most of them are from friends. as i can tell, it's just some odd theme that happens on Sundays. not sure what started it or why it just happens. Almost like an unofficial G+ holiday. everyone just posts that crap as if they're supposed to. all with that hashtag. worse yet, Google appears to have removed 'block offensive content' in settings, basically reducing Google+ to be a 6 day endeavor and avoiding it on Sundays. never did like porn.
