Root Wifi Issues with rooted wifi only Nex 9

Hello all,

I have a Nexus 9 16gb wifi edition.

While using skpe my wifi dropped out and was unable to reconnect - I restarted in hopes of fixing the issue.
After this, when I tried to enable wifi, it became stuck on "Turning Wi-fi on...". No wireless devices even showed up.

After talking to Google support, they suggested a factory reset - which I did while over the phone to them.
Now however, after selecting the language on the setup page, it hangs on, you guessed it ... "Turning Wi-fi on...". So I cannot even access the tablet anymore. The "skip" button which was so thoughtfully placed at the bottom right of my screen is greyed out. I can only return to the language select.

I have left the tablet on "Turning wifi on" overnight and all it seems to do is reboot each time the screen powers down.

When I asked about flashing it back to its stock software and warranty issues, he said it would be fine as long as its from the Google SDK website and that if I need to return the tablet, I unroot it first. (recorded the conversation as backup!)

However, I now find out that I cannot access the adb commands because I did not have it enabled in the USB debugging settings.

I CAN access the adb sideload function however, can I do anything from here?

Help, what can I do? :( I really don't want to have to go through the returns process right now with the holidays about to start.

Thanks in advance,

Hiijinx

I really suggest you do go through the return. Unfortunate timing, but the safest path I think. Don't know how Google does in in the UK, but in US they will have a unit sent to you right away and you return your non-working one after you get the new one. It is pretty fast (usually 2 day shipping).
