So, I'm planning on g thing the z3 (assuming they still sell it at tmobile) and I'm pretty sure you need some form of protection. Glass isn't very strong. Now, I hate cases since they tend to be bulky, or cheap, and they cover the aesthetics of the phone. So I was thinking about the devilcase aluminum bumper. Faced down, the phone screen has no contact with the table, and there are shock absorbers so the case itself doesn't actually touch the phone, the spongy absorbers do. Will that be enough to protect it if it get dropped on the edge or on its face/ back? Also, do you think screen protectors are necessary. Thanks!

Accessories Will the devilcase protect the phone?

All Sony's specs say is that the glass of the display is shatter proof. That's not the same as scratch proof. I'd go with the screen protector. I'm not sure about bumper cases never having used them.
