Root Won't Root with GingerBreak

I've been searching the internet to help solve my problem with no luck. I currently own the Metro PCS Huawei M835 Special TokiDoki Edition Android phone. I've downloaded everything needed to make the GingerBreak Root work, I've even tried to factory restart my phone and format the SD card several times. Downloading the GingerBeak isn't an issue. The problem is that when I click "Root Phone" option in the Gingerbreak app, It never restarts my phone and continues to say that the rooting is in process. I've left it on the "Rooting Process" screen from around 10 minutes to overnight while I was asleep and it still wont root. The reason I want to root using GingerBreak is because I would like to use the CyanogenMod 7 ROM. If I could get some assistance it would be greatly appreciated. :)

if u got the latest firmware version on ur m835, I think gingerbreak wont work.

lost my laptop with all my damn info, but when I upgraded to latest firmware on mine, had to use either super1click or this new program (which I can't remember the name of) to root.
check ur firmware version n c if its Da latest n if so, hit up Google.
will try n find what I used, but gimme a min...

Yeah, Gingerbreak won't work with the newest firmware, you need Superoneclick for it, however, you can still UNROOT with Gingerbreak if you ever wanted to

I was actually able to root it with Gingerbreak v1.20... well kinda
I'll Explain...

The first time I ran it only installed Superuser, but did not actually grant me root access, and ROM Manger failed to flashed a custom recovery.

I tried again using Gingerbreak, and it almost worked... what I mean is, busy box install fails (says it completed, but doesn't really install?!?!?). So I then tried just flashing the recovery... and IT WORKED! lol.. So then I just flashed Playful God's CM7 Port... and It worked well :tee:

Nevermind.. saw the Tokidoki on there idk if there's any lare software/hardware difference.. I' sorry

Ok so since I cant root with GingerBreak I cant use CyanogenMod 7 ROM right?

you cant flash anything without being rooted. i rooted using a prohram called superoneclick. Search for it in google and you'll find it.Open the folder and right click on the file with the logo and click run as administrator. Make sure you have the drivers for the m835 and click root. Its going to ask you if u want to install things such as busybox, just say yes, ur gonna need it later on.
