Root Won't stay in Stock Recovery

Everytime I get my friend's Exhibit 2 into recovery, it hangs, briefly (like so brief I can't catch it long enough to write what it says) shows an error, and reboots.

Anyone had an issue similar with the stock rom (non root), and stock recovery? I'm trying to flash CWM, but can't get the stock recovery to even remotely show the menu.

Use a different phone to record a video of the error. Pause that video at the time of the error, and you may be able to read what is going on.

I had this exact issue, push CWM through ROM Manager. Its not listed right but there is a CWM. I can't remember the exact name of the CWM file though. It is a conflict in the scripting from factory. they screwed up bad on recovery, just look into the stand alone recovery at........ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031921

This is a really good idea, If only we at the Galaxy Prevail had this good advice, we'd be solid.
