Help Xperia S memory access

Hi, first post so be gentle!

Wife put her LT26i through the washing machine - it didn't survive!

Been trying to access the memory to retrieve pics unsuccessfully.



PC registers the connection of a USB device but nothing shows as accessible in explorer.

Is this a lost cause?

Forgive me if this comes across as a silly question but I don't suppose she had dropbox photo sync, or Google + account auto upload?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

No sadly she opted not to have any auto-upload options.

The phone is currently buried in a container full of rice. I was skeptical about this idea but have since heard several people saying this has worked. What is the opinion on here? Is the rice trick valid or just urban myth?

I hear it works.
I don't know what the chances of being able to receive the files are though. Good luck!
