Root Z4 Root Help Please.

My usb port does not work - so I have to use Wi-Fi to download one of those super one click root programs on my phone.

Apparently, Z4 root does not work for my phone no matter what I do. I used the 1.3.0 version.

I download it through Airdroid, save it in my Android folder, install and run it within the folder (using Astro) and press Temporary Root. It'll run through but then the screen will turn white and will not restart my phone or download busy box.

I believe I'm doing everything I'm supposed to. Can someone please help me or give me an alternative rooting program similar to Z4 that I could put on my phone through Wi-Fi?

It's not supposed to. If it rebooted your phone, you'd lose root. (That's the difference between temporary root and permanent root. Temporary root lasts only until you restart the phone.) Once you have temporary root you can use a terminal to do whatever you need done.

If you want root to stay every time you restart the phone, press permanent root. (Don't worry - next time you run Z4, it'll say unroot, not permanent root, and you can unroot if you want.)
