I think the 2 towers over at the end of Collins Ave. Across the River from the Angels Stadium is the source of the 4G signal in this area. I have been getting the 3 Bar Excellent Signal most of the afternoon here in Anaheim/Orange CA.

I went ahead and turned my 4G on to see what was up after reading here some of you were getting 4G signals from Sprint.

Low and Behold.
Got a nice 2 bar signal at Katella and Main in Orange, CA.
11.26 Mbps Up .85 Down. via Speakeasy/LA Server Speedtest.

Awesome. I am starting to really like my phone much more today.

You have it backwards. You must mean 11mbps DOWN and .85 UP ;-)

Picked up 4G for the first time today. (Not where I work or live)

First detected near Fairbanks on I-4.

Ran a Speedtest at red light on corner of Fairbanks and 17-92. 3941 Down and 966 up. Wow!

(3G is pathetic in this area)(638 down and 410 up)

Lost 4G around or just past Rollins College area.

My first sighting of the elusive 4g icon on my phone today on 55fwy at approx Chapman. I will double check this on my way to work tommorow to see the strength and start/end distance covered.

I'll have to go by there to try it out =)

Didn't think Placentia had any Clearwire towers...

Best signal I've gotten so far. I may need to visit my hometown more often seeing how it's the only place I can pick up 4g. :) A couple people have mentioned getting a signal in eastside costa mesa but I get nothing.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD NO WAY!?!?!?! haha XD sorry... i just got really excited about the whole 4G popping up everywhere around me...

So i live in Santa Ana, near Costa Mesa... and that's just a tad south of all the areas you guys mentioned, so as soon as it starts hitting here, i'll let ya guys know, i'll be driving around tomorrow searching :D

How big is the coverage area exactly? I have no 4G over by 28th and Clyde Park. I got 2 bars down at the Blues On the Mall a couple weeks ago with a 2300kbps speed test but I kept having issues with the network dropping.

I would have thought if someone was getting full bars near Breton and 29th, I should see something at home or at work (work on Division near 28th) but so far nothing.

Guess it wasn't ready yet.

Might have something to do with Sprint store being at Breton and 29th, the signal doesn't go far out.

I'm pretty impressed with the 4g, YouTube videos play straight without pausing, downloaded a few songs in seconds instead of minutes. It's weird because I get 2 bars in 3g but 3 bars of 4g in my apartment. I'm going to The Fashion Square Mall this weekend to see if I can get a 4g signal inside.

If you have a game console, and can broadcast wifi from your EVO can you see how gaming is on a 4G signal? Considering dropping my internet service if it works well.

All depends on where you are at.. This month is supposedly the pre-release. I live at 26th and clyde park and some times I get it and sometimes I don't.

I turned on 4g yesterday just for the heck of it, and was surprised when i had two bars. Im in anaheim off Magnolia and Cerritos, and I live in Buena Park off Artesia and Knott and had two bars there as well. I was impressed with the speed i was getting 6mb up and 1.2 mb down. Faster then the ATT i have at home.

I'm at work, which is near JWA, at Jamboree and the 405 freeway. I have my 4g turned on now and it gives me the notification that 4g network is available. Hasn't been able to connect yet though...
I live near South Coast Plaza and there is 4G in that area. I get 2-3 bars of 4G when I am at home.

im picking up 4g in parts of brooklyn and manhattan

Isnt that a street intersection in Cerritos ? LOL

Still getting a strong 3 bars here in Orange.
It moves from 5Mbps to 10Mbps during the day.
But never below 5Mbps. The upload is a constant solid 1Mbps

Thank You Sprint. Really enjoy reading the news at lunch.
Or watching ESPN. The 4G rocks !

haha he's from NYC, so i think he posted in the wrong thread. maybe he thought this was orange county, NY? hahaha

I too am picking it up in Orange, well I was, it just went back to 3G.

I have picked it up in fullerton and also Diamond Bar over the past few weeks.

Got amazing 4g signal at Panera on University and at my doctor in Oviedo on Alafaya. I live behind UCF and I get a "poor" 4g signal inside my house more often than not but it works and even at "poor" it's faster than 3G. 4g is here!!!! Can't wait until it's official. I cannot get 4G in my office on University.

I have also noticed that my 3G signal is more consistent at my house in the last week or two.
