!!Sprint Voice Service Down!!

At the current time we are experiencing a nationwide voice outage.... What caused it? Who knows? But our phones are ringing off the hook... The outage is not affecting everybody BUT about 80% of customers are probably having issues placing a call. If you call in, you'll just get a scripted message from an agent. If you request a credit, you'll get transferred to Escalations and right now there are well over 80 calls in the Escalation Que..

Just thought i'd give u guys a heads up. I'll be sure to update you all when the outage is cleared.
 
As of 5PM EST Sprint is having voice service issues and appears to be wide spread (per conversation with tier 2 tech support).

2053 EST- No ETA on restoration of service .
 
I am travelling and im in San Jose right now and as of 3:50PM Pacific time i was not able to make any calls. Only 2% of my calls go thru but then mid call the calls drops, but data seems to work.
 
Mine is working again. Tried about 10 calls in a row to my bank just to test it and make sure it wasn't a fluke. Whoo...that was the worst 10 minutes of my life not being able to make calls! :D
 
I was just about to post about this. My wife is in Dallas and she's tried to call me for the past 2 hours and can't get through. My phone will ring ... drop, she can hear me, I can't hear her. She's pi$$ed to say the least. We're able to text just fine.
 
I've taken about 20 calls in the past hour repeating myself... It seems that Data, SMS and Picturemail is working fine, its just the voice portion. Some customers are able to make calls but not able to receive and vice verca. Some can make and receive but they cant call long distance numbers. I had one customer in New Jersey ask me to connect him to his sister in California. I'm still tryina figure out what caused this widespread foolishness...

My brother in Florida called me from a friends phone and he is without 4g and 3g as well as voice. Had the same issue a first but atleast have data in Chicago.

Still no ETA:confused:

Sorry, no ETA as of yet. :(

But we have gotten word that they are slowly but surely getting things back up and running. So it should only be a matter of time before everything is back to normal.
 
I think everything should be back to normal now... The call volume has dropped. I'm sitting in Avail and my last 5 calls had nothing to do with the outage.

glad I left when I did but during the outage I got 2 actual tech calls i was shocked
 
is it down again? can't call out and all calls to mobile goes directly to voicemail. (mid-atlantic state)

edit: well, called sprint and they said no outage. so he "reprovisioned" the phone (all 3 i have on account). been with sprint 11 years and never had this problem before. should i be worried?

Yes terrified, it is the work of the devil.
 
And here I thought my sister-in-law was sending me straight to voicemail Friday evening. It was very annoying because we were trying to get somewhere and she was the only one with the actual directions.

Damn devil. Always messing with stuff, and stuff...
 
Ladies and gentleman, I regret to inform you all, but at the current time we are going through yet ANOTHER voice outage in the north east region of the USA. We were just informed of this outage so I decided to let you guys know ahead of time.... (Luckily i'm going on Lunch!!!). I will keep you guys posted on the details as they progress...

Luckily this one didn't affect as many as the first... I think everything is cleared up now though. I would really like to know whats causing these rolling blackouts.....

It wasn't just the North East...I'm in the south and knew there was a problem when I couldn't dial any #s outside of my local area.
