Two questions about TapFish

I just added enseitankado as a neighbor, wow he/she has a ton of neat fish! Must've either spent lots of cash, or done a little file editing ;)

I have a tank right now called Clownin thats all 22 of the Clownfish Breeds...and yes, I spent some fishbucks to speed up breeding to get them all in a short time

Also whoever CookieMonstr is, they added me and they have over 60 tanks! Many are for breeding green snapper but they have not only some need hybrids and other fish, but some really cool tanks. I like their Cinco de Mayo tank!

Yes, it's hard to imagine how she/he can produce every single combination in a short period of time without some serious shortcuts! It's a fun neighbor to visit, though.

Well, I'm very excited because I just earnd 750 fishbucks by subscribing to Netflix! :p They took over 6 hours to show up so I thought it didn't work and I wrote a complaint to the developers.

So far, I've added 2 extra breeding tanks and I think all the breedable fish available. I also bought the female otter to add to my sillyfish tank. Now I have the luxury of worrying about what to puchase next. I will probably wait a while and get some more breeding tanks.

I like some of the backgrounds but I don't know whether they are worth that many fishbucks. I think it's better to spend them on fish.

WOW thats great Droidros! I keep trying to do the netflix offer but everytime I click continue it just goes white and doesnt do anything :(

The screen isn't optimized for the phone display. You may need to pull it to see the right side of the page. Also it doesn't seem to accept numbers in the password.I tried several times.

I ended up wasting several of my valuable fishbucks by mistakenly tapping the screen and buying duplicate fish when I was trying to tap the pointer button. I wish they would make a fishbuck purchase work one at a time, like buying decorations but with an additional confirmation, instead of being able to tap multiple times. It's also too easy to miss the pointer button. :(

But still, I now have all the breedable fish and some of the other cool ones, and have 50 bucks remaining. I'll try and save these for when other fish become available.

Does anyone who isn't rooted know of a way to store the data on the sd card?

With the new tanks, it is eating a ton on on-phone memory. :/

That's the female otter in marine life. Pretty silly isn't it? Unfortunately it costs fishbucks. Thanks for visiting!

Yes - I just did it. Here goes:

Select: Menu - Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - All
Scroll down to TapFish and select - Select Move to SD Card

BTW, this is for Droid X so the process could be different for you.

Here is a good guide to coins and some other stuff,
TapFish Guide: Coins
:)

It's pretty good, but it neglects the happiness bonus. In high level fish, it ranks Spikey Puffer as the worst. When you get the happiness up to 90%, you can sell them for 72,000. That gives you a 17,000 coin profit (3,400 per day; much higher than the 1,000 in the guide), making it the fourth-highest in the group. The Great White is off as well (11,625 per day, not 6,562). I haven't checked out the rest of them, but I'd double check the numbers before planning a strategy around the guide's numbers.

If you're like me and aren't at that level yet, for sheer profit, check out the Super Exotic Chromis, which costs 175, gows in 1 day, and sells for 348 (290 + 20%). A full tank would yield a profit of 8650 coins. Although the banded butterfly has a higher profit:cost ratio, you'd only make 7400 coins per tank. And the Chromis is much prettier. ;)

I just realized that the Golden Dwarf is even more profitable - 17050 coins per tank. But that is such a weird looking little fish.

Yeah, the BB was king until the super exotics. I was a bit further along than level nine when the SEs hit... Are there level requirements for them? It'd be cool if people could get started on some real money before hitting level 9.

As an fyi: If you have some coins to spend but don't have the level requirements for the bigger fish (and if the super exotics don't have a level requirement), try the Scott Fairy Fish. That's another one that isn't quite right on the guide posted above. The return sucks, but with the happiness, you're getting 20% on 48,240. That puts it just barely below the Sword Fish.

What's your TF name, droidros? Mine is codyvander if you want to check out my tanks. I only have one show tank (fourth one down), but I think once I make some headway on the Kribs I'm going to make another.

The process is the exact same for my phone, but only the app moves to the sd card--the data stays, and it is 15.75 mb right now.

I am assuming that if I delete the data, that is my fish and tanks--right?

Is the whole shebang moving on everyone else's phone?

Thanks for the response, Droidos :). Maybe I have just done something wrong to mine.

In my "All" tab, TapFish shows 42.86MB(!). In the "on SD card" tab, it shows the same. So I guess the game and tanks are all on the SD card.

(I don't see where to find out what's stored on the phone memory except by subtracting the SD card from All. Is there another way?)

I wouldn't delete the data!

CodyVanDer82, I see you visted my tanks (TapRos) but I unable to connect to yours. It keeps telling me "Unable connecting to the server at this moment. please ty later."

I am also having this problem with Chickibum. I don't know why this is happening as I am able to visit most of the others on my neighbors list.

My buddy told me he thinks it's because I'm using a Thunderbolt. He works for Verizon and I guess quite a few people there play. He told me he can't see any of his Thunderbolt coworkers' tanks.

I had to reinstall the app after doing a few things with my phone, and I was able to recover all my fish/coins/fishbucks/tanks etc by going to 'About Tap Fish' in the lower left corner of the menu screen, then selecting 'Restore Game'

So if you ever did want to reinstall it, you should be able to restore all of your data
Thanks so much. i thought I lost my tanks and had to start all over. So happy cause I was ready to just give up on it.

That sucks that you cant connect to our tanks Droidros :( makes no sense.... I wonder if I remove you if you'll be able to connect...

I'm loving the chromis and the golden dwarf lol the dwarf looks like a little gross bug but its bringing in the coins.

I wasnt able to do the netflix offer and I had emailed the devs asking why, went into tapfish like two days later and I had 407 fishbucks! yayyyy lol i'm assuming thats why I got them anyways lol

Glad you got your fishbucks! Happy fish shopping - you'll find they get spent pretty quickly though!

An HTC Android phone.

Also, the new Collector's fish has a nearly three times higher profit per hour than the Sword Fish if you're looking for a good profit fish that doesn't have a level requirement.

I haven't gone through the lower-cost fish yet, but this is what I have come up with for the bigger ones (at least 10,000 coins when sold) as far as profit per hour since a fish that sells for 20,000 but takes a week isn't as good as a fish that sells for 10,000 but takes three days. These profits assume a 90% or higher happiness to maximize the bonus.

Cat Fish - 517.5
Sword Fish - 172.5*
Dolphin - 300*
Penguin - 487.2*
Electric Eel - 1406.25*
Manta Ray - 916.67*
Great White - 1265.625*
Kribensis - 250*
Spikey Puffer - 600*
Hammer Head - 271.43*
Boxfish - 653.475
Scott Fairy - 964.8
* denotes fish with level requirements.

If anybody is interested in a full list, I have the formulas in a spreadsheet and would just have to type in the costs.

I'm looking forward to what Red and White masterpiece I yield from breeding the Sammie and the Koi!

Also, in case it didn't click with you over the last 10-15 posts, it doesn't matter if your game or game data is stored on the phone or the SD card as far as preserving tanks, fish, etc. Its all stored on the TapFish servers, so even if you get a new phone and don't have a Titanium Backup or other means to restore your apps, data, etc, you can still get your TapFish data from their servers.

hey, i gotta a question...i just signed in on my phone, and half of my breedable fish are gone...how can i get them back.. i know they wasnt sold or misplace because my tank is locked....Please someone help me...

They're not in your inventory? I see your Sailfin, Glow, Rainbow, Piranha, Sammie, Betta, Tetra, Clown, Butterfly, Guppy, Box, Blow and Snapper in your breedabl tank
