POST HAS BEEN EDITED IN RECOGNITION OF "TheSwypeTeam"
YOU MUST NOW GOTO ORIGINAL POST ON XDA IF ITS STILL WORKING

So I've been hunting around for about 8 hours now for a full working version of Swype for the Nexus One.

and... I Found IT!!!

Works without a hitch installed it roughly 1 hour ago.

Alternate Link to Original Discussion on XDA.. If the above is deleted by Mod's http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625910

To use the keyboard:

1 - Goto: Settings - Language & Keyboard - Check the box next to Swype
2 - Goto any text field: Long Press - Select Input - Swype

I highly recommend going through the tutorial found in the Swype Settings under Language & Keyboard

Your Going To Love It!

I Freakin Love this Keyboard!

Gotta download this as soon as my USB cable arrives.... :D

Did your Nexus not come with one? Is the UK getting Jipped

The only gripe I had with the Nexus was the keyboard. I'm glad this has been solved. At least for me.

Like Rusty said you can just direct your Nexus's browser to the file, It's actually a bit easier that way.

Well found, works great thanks very much.

I am sure the moderators will remove your file link though.

Really?.. It's not a direct link. So I would think that should be fine. I will put the link to the original discussion in there as well ;)

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for that. I was enjoying playing with the older version, but it's nice to have landscape if you're as clumsy as I am.

Hi

Do you put the .zip file on your sd card or uncompress it first.

I have done this but the file manager step says it can't read the .apk file. (which is actually a folder, right/)

Thanks for the link - gave up on the version with the resolution error but this one works perfectly :)

Aha.

The file came down as a .apk.zip file. \rather than uncompress the file, I renamed it deleting the .zip extension and then copied to the SD card.

This seems to have worked.

Thanks! I installed. It's awesome! However, swiping across the keyboard does not bring up speech-to-text input and I can't see anyway to get to it quickly. I liked that shortcut.

how can we download from nexus browser? i use to use downloadcrutch but that seems to have gone off the market.
