Advanced Task Killer

I have an HTC Evo 4G with 2.3. So do I need any kind of task killer app or would it do more harm than good?

In a word, nope. Not since 2.2 is a task killer, especially an automated one necessary.

I used to be paranoic about closing apps when I first got my Android, but the system will take care of itself well, you don't need to worry about closing apps.

I haven't close an app manually for like a month, and despite using it heavily everyday, the task manager says there's only 1 app running.

Don't get one. I foolishly got it for my new galaxy nexus and as soon as I hit "kill apps" My phones performance went straight down the crapper! I had to pull the battery to get it working correctly again.

Yesterday there 6 apps opened in the task manager.

I put the phone on my desk and went to sleep... Just woke up, grabbed the phone and there are 0 apps running.

How fun is that?
