Post here if you received the OTA update.

Vol Down + SEND + END ==> Recovery Mode

Vol Down + OK + END ==> Download Mode

In order to ODIN files you must put in Download Mode.
Recovery Mode is to basically do a factory reset.

Kinda upset about the update, so I was wanting to learn some things. like can anyone to a quick guide on ODIN files and possibly can you brick your phone in recovery or download mode, and if so, how not to brick it? it would greatly be appreciated, just something else to do other than, wait for an update, ya know

Okay let me help you step by step! :-)

1. Open up Odin Multi Download
2. Under Select OPS, choose Behold2_partition.ops
3. Click PDA, choose T939UVIJ6-PDA-CL81521-REV1.tar.md5
4. Power Off Phone
5. Make sure you have it connected via USB
6. Hold and Press Volume Down, OK, Power (the red end button)
7. Phone will say Download Mode
8. Click Start on Odin Multi Downloader.
9. Wait a couple of minutes
10. Stock Touchwiz phone working again!

The ODIN Files and orignal firmware can be downloaded from the following link: http://shrunk.me/uvij6.zip

Chances of bricking the phone from ODIN only using OPS and PDA are virtually non-existant. Recovery Mode is just like a master reset so it would be not possible to brick.

yeah i bought mine wen it was 80 dollars cuz i went into the tmo store and they told me that it was on sale so i started to look into it and liked it then bought it the last day of the sale.. still no update for me.. spokane washington 99202/99207

Hey guys!! I'm in Seattle, Wa and I haven't gotten it yet either. I got my BH2 from an insurance exchange. I had the original behold that crapped out and when I went to make a claim they were out of stock of BH1's so they upgraded me to the BH2. Pretty cool but I still want the dang update... I'd love to have better battery and that screen lag when your on a call is REALLY FREAKIN ANNOYING!!!!

Starting to get pissed thinking that they were gonna stop sending out the updates so I called TMO this morning and they said that they are still sending out the updates and that we will get them. I don't know if thats any consolation to anyone but hopefully its true

My wife and I both have BH2's I'm running the BH_Man Rom and my wife is still running stock. Neither of us have received the update. I WILL ensure that we grab the ZIP from the SD card on whichever phone gets the update first. So know that this forum will get that posting from me if no one else has captured it by the time we get our update. We're in Colorado, and purchased our phones in November.

YSo I was at the mall and went to the tmobile store and figured i would look at the behold 2 and theirs didn't have the update yet either, at least the demo unity didn't.

Didn't Pppppfffht(sp) say that there was no zip on her SD card?
And if there is such a file, wouldn't Yati or behold_this have sent it? These are the beloved 3 with the update.

I am having a problem with the fact that this is the largest Android forum online and only 3 people got this update on time.

To you long-term Tmo customers: Is this typical behavior?

I never had a phone that needed constant updating so that would be a negative.

No there are over 800+ Behold 2's that were won from the Samsung/T-Mobile contest. Plus I am sure quite a few were sold when it was priced at $80.

Yeah but I wasn't saying how many own the phone I was just guesstimating how many behold 2 owners in this forum, of course there are over 800 owners but on here is what I was talking about.

seattle area no update as of yet :(

if i had the even more+ talk/web/text would that be a issue of not getting the update? since i dont have a actual data/android plan?

Maybe they delayed it because the update for the cliq caused so many errors. Most of the cliqs that got the update barely work anymore......

The even more plus talk/text/web is an android data plan. I have the same thing.

I don't know if it means anything but I was just checking my account info on T-mobile site. I took a look at data usage and I see that today, 6:07am eastern, I used 126+ megabytes. Funny I haven't used my phone today. Just sitting plugged in. I opened Astro to see if I could see a new file and so far nothing. I'll keep you posted!

In fact, since I went to bed, more than 220 meg of activity. Curious. no message of update availble though

Just a small tidbit. Yes, the even more plus is unlimited plan that is android compatible, you do have to make sure you have your plan set to Android data and not Smartphone data or something else... If you bought your phone from somewhere other then T-mobile, you may have the wrong setting...

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'd double check if you aren't sure.

hmmm could be from apps that are running if it was off thatn t-mo is just screwing with your head lol

The OTA update is never stored on your sdcard , its stored In your recovery portion , there's a command to dump the update from there ! Just can't remember it ! So looking on your sdcard for it is a null...
