How 'bout the Redskins drafting RG3 ?

DOUBLE POST...since this allowed here.

So who here does not like Facebook.

I am a social person (I have several posts on this site). I regularly e-mail friends and talk to friends on the phone, but I personally have no use for Social Networking sites. I have friends, but I personally do not need random people 'Friending' me. I also do not want friends or others following what I do online. If I want my friends to know what I bought or what I read, then I will tell them myself. I do not need Facebook reporting that for me. I also do not feel the need for friend and others to know what I am doing all the time.

Ok, rant over...

That should generate some responses to up the posts on this thread.

It seems you think Facebook is all automatic. Your friends on Facebook only see what you allow them to see. If you go to some restaurant, no one on Facebook will know unless you actually post on Facebook that you are at said restaurant. You can also disable friend requests so that no one can send you a friend request.

The point of this thread is too make long .you can have 100 posts in a row if Mada doesnt spoil the fun .
Personally Social Network is a tool like all other tools . If Random strangers annoy you can ignore them ,like in real life .
I consider a friend as a virtual connection not an existential one .A virtual friend can only alter my virtual self and it should stay that way .
just my 12 cents

Ok Mada,

Point taken. It is just that it seems so many of my friends seem to be so obsessed with updating their profile. A lot of them seem to feel the need to update their profile to let everyone know what they are doing. Also so many people seem to feel the need to up their Friend count "I have 232 friends...you only have 102 ?"

Really, it seems like a waste of time to me. I mean how many of those 232 people does the person really know.

I guess what really gets on my nerves though is the fact that people like me who are not on Facebook are looked at a werd or strange. Just because I do not wish to be obsessed with Facebook, that does not make me antsocial.

Ok, so that should be enough to generate more posts. :-)

@kct1975

It's a term at best .
Social Networking also means hanging out with friends at the mall, bar or usual hangout .
The advertising of Facebook is such that ,it wants us to believe that social Networking is that website .
which it isn't really ..

I completely agree with you. You are absolutely right! Social Networking used to mean hanging-out with friends. That is the type of Social Networking I prefer.

I guess, part of you annoyance is I hate getting things sort of shoved down my throat so to speak.

Honestly, I think Facebook would not be such an annoyance to me if people did not seem to be so obsessed with it.

Ok, rant again over.

No one said you had to have over 200 friends. Also, no one said you had to have less than 200 friends. You can use Facebook however way you want. I have friends that update their profile every day. I also have friends that update their profile once a month.

I update my profile regularly, but not with anything personal. I may put up a quote or a funny picture. It's almost rare that I share something about my personal life and what I'm doing.

Eh I'm not following the whole March Madness thing. Never been into sports, except college football. (barely lol)

I shaved my face for the first time in my life today. My face feels weird.

So you are young I guess. Congrats on the milestone!

My first shave was my chin. Not sure why, but my first whiskers that grew out were on my chin. I could of had a wicked gotee if I wanted it.

Hair is meant to grow :D
