Hmm, so how does that work, will flashing custom ROMs wipe out your music, pics and all that too? And 10GB is enough for me, at max I use 5

She loves it...her old one she got in 2002 and it was cheap then. I got her a HP don't know all the specs on it know it isn't the most powerful but should work for her and what she needs to do on it for a while...had a budget of $800 for her mother's day stuff and I had already bought her a kindle out of the budget.
 
Ah yeah. The touch screen Kindle? What is the name of that.. Kindle Fire or something?

I love HP, That's the brand of the quadcore laptop I got.
Did you get her a whole new monitor and stuff too?
 
I got her a 6 inch e-ink kindle. I have a kindle fire and it was too heavy for her since she has bad elbows plus it is impossible to use in sunlight and she will spend a lot of time reading outside over the summer. Yeah she still had one of the old box monitors so I got her a 20 in flatscreen monitor...
 
Ah, I'd only ever wanted a Nook Color because you could put Android on it.

Speaking on the i5. I happen to like the AMD I have.
A lot of people have varying opinions this whole AMD VS. Intel thing.

Anyone want to share theirs?
 
AMD is good at lower end .
Intel is better at higher ends .
Intel dual core i5 are far superior to QC AMD

But as far as common tasks are concerned you wont feel a difference ..(SSD will make a difference )
