What's comming to metropcs

You're taking this too personally.

No never its just that we knew all this was coming cheap affordable phones and only the s3 as the high end I'm just expressing my point of view that's all will never take anything personal we are here to learn express our opinions and help each other out

thanks for the post!

they mention lagginess, fc, etc, after being on for a while...
they don't mention why and/or the key specs:

1/2 gb ram
3-1/2gb rom
processor a slight step down from initial announcement-- although not much difference...

not worth getting at any price.

You could always google the model number or look on engadget. The only reason why the phone acted like that was because it was I pre production model. This was way back in march so who knows how the phone performs at this exact moment.

If the s3 sells well metro may bring more high end phones to their service.

The reality is most people on Meropcs don't have the money to throw $500 or so at a phone. If they're gonna put these types of phones on metro they want people to actually buy them.

I see alot of Esteems...379 is not exactly cheap for anybody.

On this forum?

Way more people on metro have admires, Optimus ms, and indulges than connects and esteems in reality but many of the esteem owners will congregate here because of the dev community.

Hell I hope I'm wrong and people do put up the money and buy the s3 so metro will be encouraged to bring more high end devices here.

Well I agree with W.. In my school there are mostly metropcs phones. The main ones I've seen are the Admire and M. The esteem is in 3rd place.

In the wild I see more people come in to my store with Esteems as opposed to any other 4G Metro phone. I do hope they will buy S3's, and from me lol.

I don't know what people are expecting to get for $149 non-contract. For someone coming from an admire or indulge or an Optimus, which is what the majority of metro customers have, these are quality upgrades.

For those with esteems and connects the GS3 is what you should be looking for.

lol that is my situation to a T really. I am not a cell phone power user. I dont plan to game on my phone the major things I am wanting to do is....

1. web browsing
2. network/IT trouble shooting
3. Social Media (facebook)

I dont need a super fast phone for those things. I think the majority of people will agree... I will occasionally watch a movie or listen to music but once more we dont need a super high end processor for that.

So for them better that the in-between phones are coming after the s3, so as not to possibly undercut it....

That s3 will be feast or famine for Metro-- either everyone wants it or i can see rebate for it soon thereafter.

In any case, some model(s) should get nice rebates thereafter.

An even better idea than trying to bring more high end phones on is have a BYOD program like straighttalk and simplemobile.

I'm just thinking that metro is doing this as a test to see how well it sells and if it sells well then they'll start introducing more High end phones.

Pretty much. They should bring it back.

We're still metroFLASHING :)

On another note, going with the topic of this thread, the LG Motion 4G for metro will have the ICS we're all dying for.

The LG Motion will have:

4G LTE
4.0 ICS
1.2 GHz dual-core processor
1 GB RAM
5GB internal memory
3.5 HVGA TFT display Corning Gorilla glass
5MP camera with LED flash
1.3 front face camera
1080p HD recording

So what do you guys think? This phone should be released next month. I was surprised that this little beast is only 3.5" screen  I was pretty dissapointed with that but nonetheless the specs on this phone looks great. It might be priced around $149 without rebates. So that's another win there. Courtesy of your friendly dealer Gomez :D

Thought it was released either this week or next

Question: I've had the Optimus M for 15 months. At this point, ANY 4g phone is going to be light years better by comparison to this venerable dinosaur. But seeing as how my budget is about 300 bucks tops, what would you guys recommend?

I'm no fan of Huawei, FYI
