Cases for the RAZR MAXX

After looking at some of those on Amazon, I decided to pick up a few myself. They're running a Buy 2 Get 1 Free. So for $19.80, I got 3 Android Logo cases (different colors of course).

I have this exact case too. I got three also with the buy two get one deal. I got the turquoise and the pink. I now have over ten cases. I'm a case a holic.

Yep, that's the one I've got, though I only bought one. It's mildly annoying that if the car dock was just a little larger I'd be able to use the RM with it without needing to remove the case. Ah well.

Hello all. New to the forum and I read through all the case posts. I, like a lot of you, have tried several different cases and can't seem to be 100% happy with any of them. I finally have a phone I'm 100% happy with but not a case to go with it. I saw that a few people asked this already but I didn't see any responses... perhaps they just don't exist. Bumper cases for the Maxx... do they exist at all? I would be extremely happy with an iPhone style bumper to go around the edge of this phone. I did quite a few searches and can't seem to find anything... has anyone seen anything like this? Thanks!

I have seen many posts regarding problems with cased Droid Razr Maxx phones not fitting into the docking stations. Which Droid Razr Maxx cases fit easily into the docking station and do not interfere with the phone's charging. Thank you.

Wondering why you guys need/want a case for Razr MAXX? Dont trust the Gorilla Glass? Or case cause you clip to belt?

I always end up getting a case for my phone but was wondering if I really needed one for the MAXX. I am going to get the phone this week.

Two year contract and I have toddlers. My phone needs to be kept safe from my 2 and 1 year old ninjas.

I want a big case with lots of protection. Not that I really need it, but better to be safe than sorry. So, Otterbox Defender or Trident Kraken?

Also just a question about my last post, both these cases have built in screen protectors and I will keep that one on because I don't want to void the warranty or whatever. I already have a screen protector on my phone. Will I need to take that one off if I want to keep the one built in with the case?

I have the otterbox defender,I ended up taking the screen protector off because it was grainy and am going without. I wanted a durable case because I will drop it occasionally. I'll go without a screen protector because of the gorilla glass.I went without one on my dinc and never got a scratch.

Anyone think about looking at the Seidio Surface Case for the MAXX?;)

I just got the Seidio Surface.. in the pearly white color. I like it so far. I bought it so I'd have easy access to my phone when I want to put in in my car dock. It looks okay, but feels a bit "cheap" in the hand. I guess I don't care so much about that as long as it does its job and protects my phone if I drop it.

I have so many cases for this phone now. I just wish they all had easy on/off otherwise, I wish the car dock worked with a case.

Does anyone use a flip or book style case for the maxx? I am really interested in trying one out, but don't want it to be bulky. Options appear limited.

I see an ad on here all the time for one for the Note and it looks great, but that company doesn't make one for the maxx. Thanks for the help!

Otter Box commuter case owner.
2 complaints.

1. I want access to the SIM card port along with the other port.
2. I have yet to figure out how to remove my phone from the case without using force that i dont feel comfortable using.

OTW it is the best case/cover i have owned.

No one with a flip case for the maxx? I might just pull the trigger and report back. Lol

I've been using the Cruzerlite skin for a couple weeks now, and really like it. It's thin and unobtrusive. I also like the grip type sides.

I have the surface too but I use my OEM holster with it and it fits perfectly.

I just purchased the case mate barely there case for the maxx and really like it - very thin. Am going to try it with the maxx car dock as I had been using the razr car dock (without the insert) with the maxx and the verizon silicon case, but given the small size of the case-mate, it is too small for the razr dock.

I just got my new Droid Razr Maxx and I'm looking for a completely clear, soft case. They have one on the Motorola website, the Xentris Wireless Soft Shell Case Motorola Droid Razor Maxx, but I'm not sure if its any good. Can anyone help me with this please?

Someone asked for the OEM case/belt clip. I have it for my Razr Maxx and most of the time, I carry it around outside of the clamshell clip case with only the back on it. I have not dropped it yet, but it is a rugged case; and thin!

Your idea of rugged fails miserably.

Anyone know if the Trident Kracken has the same kind of rubber on the outside like the otterbox defender? My defender attracts so much dust in the field.

the kraken has hardly any rubber on the exterior. the only exposed rubber, are on the bottom two corners. it will not attract any dust/lint. however that comes at a price. the case is pretty slick because of the lack of any rubber.

to the person who asked for a comparison of the kraken and defender, i have both. and it will likely come down to personal preference. they both will protect the phone. no doubt about that. it will basically come down to, "do you need a holster"? if so, otterbox is what you want. the kraken holster is hardly a holster at all. i wouldn't trust it to keep my phone on my hip very long. the other question is "do you prefer rubber or plastic on the exterior"? the defender has a better grip because of the rubber, but it also collects lint and dust and may stretch out over time. the defender will grip your pocket and make it difficult to get in or out. the kraken is basically the opposite of all these. the kraken also has a built in kickstand and the ability to swap out different accessories. i personally like going using both cases. they both have their pros and cons.

I've been using my razr maxx for a month now. No case and screen protector. I just love how it feels on my hands. Nope, I don't need to cover this baby!
