I must admit it looks funny with "5" in the dock, but only 4 on screen.

Ah sorry, forgot to mention I'm running nova launcher and I modded my LCD Density. However 5 wide on the stock LCD Density looks a little weird IMO. A bit cramped. I changed my density from 320 to 245. Still, the free version of Nova allows you to change the icon grid up if you want to mess with that to your liking.

Nothing too exciting. I've used pretty much the same homescreen for my last several phones with occasional changes to the background.

I can't speak for the others but mine is not rooted. Running ICS 4.0.4, Nova launcher, HD widgets and some stock program widgets.

I seen to have settled on this for now:

Mine is rooted and has a ROM installed over it.

Have the circle battery notification installed on Vitreous and I absolutely love it. Definitely a keeper.

Think I don't even need anything else for it, just love it the way it is.

root is not required, just recovery and select the jb leaked file (read up on how to preserve root if desired, and all caveats). Wait, isn't there a howto on this forum?
