They are coming out with 2 Admire Galaxy Phones. One is 4g and the other is 3g . They will have a holiday sale on them called white something or other. 99$ or 129. but it comes with rebate.

Are these admires still gonna be gingerbread?
I think gb is still a cool OS, l like it.
 
Admire galaxy? I searched for some info on them, but only got some threads either from last year saying that it was gonna come out then and others saying that it's unknown when it'll come out... I even went to a metro pcs store and asked about a holiday sale where they'd be featured, and they didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Not that the workers there even know what the hell THEY'RE talking about! Rampage, do you have any links to further info on this??? Or maybe some specs on the models? Do you have a mole on the inside working for you- is that where you got the info???:p
 
Thanx 2gig, saw that website though... Wish it had more specs on the phone! Anyway, just a shot in the dark. I been eyeing the gs3 mini!!! I like I like! I like the gs3, but damn that sh!t is big! I like the smaller size of the mini. Maybe that's just cuz I'm accustomed to the admire. I like having a phone that I can operate with one hand! Don't think that I'll be able to afford an upgrade any time soon either way. Which may work in my favor, as prices usually drop over time. With all the tweaks I got going on my admire, I don't think it could get any faster than it already is. Plus it does the trick. I can play all of my emulators at full speed now (no lag). Even fpse plays at full speed WITH sound. Mupen64 is at full speed without sound- with sound, the video is still crisp but the sound gets choppy:( A crying shame for "007 Goldeneye". The bond music is critical!! (that's just me being picky though) I usually just throw on some music from the library and it's good to go. It's still fun to buck shots at russians while listening to Scientist Wins the World Cup!!!

I have heard its going to have a 1Ghz Single Core processor and 3 or 5MP Camera with 2.3.7 installed.... ;)

If you sell your Admire, you can get maybe $40 or $50 bucks, then all you need is an extra $100 to fall outta the sky and you can buy the Motion ;) I don't have the Motion yet, but my friend does, and he has emulators on his Motion and he let me try them :) Freaking awesome :D Believe me, all the emulators are freaking awesome on the Motion. Makes emulators on Admire look like... erm... poop :o
 
the 4g model releases next week. The 3g model a week later for the white christmas sale. they are the same except one is 4g capable. gingerbread. 1gh. not much . i want that sucker!!!
 
Those specs sound an awful lot like the attain! (attain what? that phone is just short. on what--- EVERYTHING!)(sorry attain people, but I feel like there's more bang in the admire/ due to its awesome root and developers of its custom roms!!! Plus the attain's camera pictures just look terrible)... You know, I've only looked at samsung phones. They're the only ones that haven't f'd up on me in some way or other; mind you though, that I'm referencing to the days when phones flipped!! (maybe other companies have upped the anty since then.) I had an lg flip and then later a slide qwerty lg phone back in the day that both crapped out on me, so I got kinda jaded a/b that company... But after your suggestion, I just checked it out on the metro website. I gotta say, that is a sexy looking deal-of-a-phone! Too bad I can't sell my phone though, my girl said that if I upgrade she's got dibs on it! Personally, I'm kinda glad it'll stay in the family. I love this little f*ker!
 
Also, 2gig don't sleep on the Bluetooth gamepad! It definitely ups the speed. I guess because the phone/emulator doesn't have to process touch-screen commands??-I'm pulling that one out of my @$$, but it definitely helps in the speed department!

I hope that you'll stick around the admire forum after your upgrade! I'm curious to see what roms you got up your sleeve!!!

I used an SNES emu on my Evo 4G for a while, even had then Wii remote set up as a controller. Effing sweet! Would love to get a new phone but im only couple months away from one year, got a long way to go lol

Honestly, it is.

And the admire 3g seems to be the same phone except there is now a white variant, I believe the black is discontinued as well.
Hopefully there are similarities with the OG Admire. ::Shrug::

Well there's nothing really similar about the admire 4g compared to the 3g version.

If your talking about the white vs black versions its just a different colors. If your talking about the 4G vs 3G they probably wont have that many similarities
 
if nothing else, its another reason for people to give up their 3G handsets and go with an LTE device.
 
If I remember correctly there isn't a root for version 2.3.7. Or was that only the coolpad? I forget
Something to think of before buying this phone
