Escaping From SplashID: App Suggestions?

Well SplashData managed to fool me twice. Something goes South, one needs to re-install SplashID or install it on another device..... "Oops, SplashID has moved on and your database is no longer compatible...Please send us more money."

Slow learner that I am, I think I'm finally catching on.

I've still got access to my data by virtue of SplashID's Windows version and I want to get out while the getting's good.

Am wading through the user reviews for mSecure right now.

Am even contemplating a plain old spreadsheet - kept in an encrypted .ZIP file. Not so convenient, but maybe ok for occasional reference. Certainly portable...

Whatever comes up, I see some serious keyboard time in my near future.... -)

Is anybody happy with another product?


Musts:

- Some form of password protection - doesn't have to be Fort Knox... but
needs something to keep the casual browser of a lost cell phone out.

- Synch with or, at least, back up to a PC.

- Work from it's own, discrete, copyable DB. i.e. not embedded/intertwined with
some Android system file/DB.


Nice-To-Haves:

- Ability to export to text or .CSV

- Companion app that runs under Windows XP

- Companion app that runs under IOS

I just moved to mSecure. It syncs either wifi or through dropbox. It also has a Win8 client (important to me, maybe not to you). I had to export the data into splashID's standard .vid file and mSecure imported it directly. Works great! I'm very satisfied with it.

Sounds like mSecure is the ticket and I just pulled the trigger on both the Android and PC version.

Took me all of 10 minutes to install both and establish communication between the two. May they never, ever go over to the dreaded ribbon presentation.... -)

Just did a SplashID "Backup" to a .VID file.

Then it was mSecure | File | Import | SplashID VID and Bingo!
