I posted on the Sprint forum, but I wanted to post a couple of my questions here in hopes some more knowledgeable people can answer. I want you to know too, that some of my questions have to do with coverage, so that you don't think i'm off topic (I'm trying to be respectful of where I post in relation to the thread topic
).
Story is... I have been looking into the EVO on the sprint network and am thinking it would be smarter for my family to be on the sprint network because the data is included with the plan, whereas I believe, verizon you have to pay $30 for each device.
Now if we were to switch, would our plan be $149.99 with this discount? That is because the first 2 devices are included and the next 2 devices are $19.99 each. Just clarifying my thought process..

Some of the questions I hope someone could answer or at least point me in the right direction (forum/post/webpage).
1. Unfortunately we don't have 4G in my area and probably won't within the first year, so it will be a 3G phone for us. I thought I read that with 3G you have a 5gb cap on data if used as a hotspot, but data is unlimited otherwise.. right??
2. Switching carriers we will have different coverage, but from what I have read Sprint can roam on Verizon. Do we pay a rate to roam? How does the coverage compare (since Sprint can roam WITH Verizon)?
3. Could someone tell me, hopefully from experience, how switching carriers was for you? One point might be (look at 1) how has coverage been since switching? Or customer service (this is definately a selling point for me)?
Keep in mind that I am not the account holder for my family plan, but I feel it would be better financially and well more advantageous (EVO is a great phone with a lot of capabilities) for us to switch. Two of our devices already have data plans and the other 2 are looking to get a data plan.
I am just looking for some helpful information into the whole subject I guess you could say and I would appreciate some knowledge from some knowledgeable people to further my decision for switching carriers.
I apologize for the long post...
